 In March 2004, CheckPoint began reporting hospital quality and safety measures.
Over time, additional measures are added which increase the number of diseases and
procedures reported on. In addition, the same data may be presented in more than
one way to better explain the information.
The WHA Board of Directors has approved the addition of the new measures listed
below:
- Outpatient Surgery
- ER transfers to another facility for heart attack patients
- Stroke
- Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI)
These measures are expected to be available on CheckPoint throughout calendar year 2010 and into 2011.
